Calathea Plant

Description

Calathea Picturata is a member of the family Marantaceae. Its leaves have silver green color on the top and purple bottom, with silver along the veins and midriff. It needs partial light and shade and loves damp but not soggy soil.

Light and Water requirements

Calatheas do well both  indoors and outdoors. Partial shade is the perfect condition for them to grow. Do not place under direct sun as it can cause the leaves to start wilting.They love humidity, hence, keep the soil moist at all times. 

Potting Mix

We use a well draining potting mix of red soil, cocopeat, vermicompost, fungicide and perlite! It is a nutrient rich soil mix that can prevent pest infestations.
